Kenneth Jack was born in Geelong, Victoria in 1924. A painter, draughtsman, and printmaker with a deep and abiding passion for the Australian landscape and its built heritage, he spent much of his career documenting the towns, buildings, and human traces left across the continent — particularly in the mining regions of inland Australia where the evidence of earlier lives and industries sits quietly in the dust. His work combines the precision of a trained draughtsman with genuine warmth and historical curiosity.
